Our main Candidate for Copenhagen: Sisse Marie Welling

Hi, I’m Sisse Marie Welling, 39, and I live in Amager with my husband Bo and our two children. Copenhagen is the backdrop to our lives – from swimming at Amager Beach and travelling around the city by metro, to walking to school on weekdays and visiting green playgrounds at the weekend.

Copenhagen is a fantastic city. A capital city we can be proud of. I have spent the last 15 years developing and caring for our city in the City Council, the last eight years as Mayor of Health and Care. And I am not done dreaming on behalf of the city. On the contrary, I have sky-high ambitions for the Copenhagen of the future.

We must succeed in what many other cities are struggling with: creating a modern metropolis where educators, nurses, students and our children can also afford to live. A city where we break up the asphalt desert with trees and green city parks, and where we can live safely, as we are. The world’s best Copenhagen. I believe it can be done.
